Running a small business is not for the faint of the heart. Borrowing one of my grandpa’s favorite words, it takes gumption and it also requires a wide swathe of skills, from knowing who to hire to balancing your books to establishing a brand identity on social media. In a lot of ways, I am tough …. I have bona fides that I can point to that back up my claims of grittiness, like finishing a cross country running race with a compound fracture of my foot…big yikes.
